Sir Peter Solley or Solly of Hodone was born in 1433 in Ash, Kent, England. 


His parents were Simon Solye (1408-1466) and Joan (1412-1465). 


He was a landowner and knight of Hodone. He owned a farm and other land in Ash, Wingham and Elmestone. 


Interestingly, a place called Hedone House is located in Goodnestone, Kent. Goodnestone is where Richard Soale (1633-1683) was born. 


He married Alice Ashe (1435-1498).


Their children included Simon Solly (1460-1500) and Margaret 'Elspeth' Lady of Solers, Countess Lusley Malvern Worcester de Solley (1460-1485).


He died on the 4th of January, 1495, Kent and was buried in a churchyard. 


His wife, Alice Ashe was buried on the 4th of March 1498.
