John de Solys inherited the Manor of Soles from his ancestor John de Soles (born bef. 1272). He was the owner of the Manor of Soles until his death in 1376 when it was seized from him. His descendent William de Solys (Born 1374) who was around 1 year of age, would not inherit the Manor of Soles. Instead, it would be transferred to another individual, around 1400. 

In the 14th Century (1300s), Robert de Percy, knight and Lord of Soulles married Jean du Saussey, lord of Servigny in 1376 and had a daughter Agnes de Percy.
