John II Soal

John Soal was born in Reculver, Kent in September 1776 and baptised on the 11th of September 1776 at St Mary's in Reculver, Kent. His parents were William Soal (Born 1737) and Anne Foreman.


He married Sarah Ann King (1780-1850).


John Soal's children included William, John Thomas, Martha, Mary, Edward, Thomas, Marianne (Born 1800), Anne (Born 1803), Richard (1807-1885) and Sarah (Born 1807).


In 1807, John Soal and Sarah Ann King had twins, Richard and Sarah. 


On the 22nd November 1807, he and Sarah had their daughter Sarah Sole baptised in St Peter, Thanet, Kent. On the 22nd of November 1807, Richard John Soal was baptised.


In 1830, there was a widespread uprising in the southeast of England known as The Swing Riots. Agricultural labourers such as John Soal and his family protested against low wages, high taxes and the introduction of machinery which threatened to replace their jobs. 


In Kent, farm buildings, machines and crops were wrecked or destroyed by agricultural rioters. 


On the 3rd of February 1837, he was buried in St Peter, Kent, England.
